"I'm running to join the effort to ensure we provide affordable healthcare, create green jobs while protecting our environment, and that public dollars are used for public education. I'm here to offer my experience as a 12 year former local elected official, social worker, member of the Iowa National Guard, and parent to serve the people of Ames and Iowa."

 

EARLY VOTING STARTS

JULY 17TH

Voting in the Auditor's Office begins Wednesday, July 17, and will be available during regular business hours. Also, the first round of Absentee Ballots will be mailed this day as well.

ABR DEADLINE

JULY 26TH

This is the last day to request an absentee ballot. If you haven't mailed it in by the 25th, you'll need to deliver your absentee ballot request form to the Story County Auditor's Office.

ELECTION DAY

AUGUST 6TH

Be sure to make a plan to vote on or before August 6th! Voting will be at two voting centers - whichever is more convenient:

1) Bethesda Lutheran Church (1517 Northwestern Ave)
(2) Trinity Christian Reformed Church (3626 Ontario St)

SUPPORT PUBLIC SCHOOLS & UNIVERSITIES

Ross will ensure Iowa State University and Ames public schools receive prompt, dependable state funding. He will ensure our budget reflects education as our #1 priority.

CREATE GREEN JOBS

As Mayor of Iowa City, Ross signed the 2007 Mayor's Climate Protection Agreement, leading the way in creating renewable energy jobs and launching a successful decade long effort to reduce carbon emissions.

REFORM MENTAL HEALTHCARE

Ross will work for the people of Ames to implement a comprehensive mental healthcare system of prevention, intervention, treatment, and education.
